Mobile Broadband works through a mobile operator's 3G network to provide Internet access by plugging in a small USB dongle into a laptop or desktop PC. Prices for Mobile Broadband start from around £5 per month, available on pay monthly, pay as you go / no contract and free laptop bundles. Headline speeds range from 3.6Mbps to 7.2Mbps.
Getting started is usually straight-forward. Simply plug your 3G Dongle into your laptop or PC, let the software auto-install, and start surfing! Most operating systems are supported, including Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7 and Mac OS X. Some may also support Linux.
